I don't make these pieces very often as they are enormously time consuming and usually made more for display purposes than sale due to their delicacy. This piece was made in sections the head and wings added using araldite and milliput after firing.

Individually hand sculpted each animal I make is hollow and created using a combination of pinch potting, coiling and slabbing which I commonly refer to as hollow form sculpting. The work is then bisque fired to 1080c the piece is then painted using a technique known as dry brushing using acrylic paints.
