Giant Tortoise

Giant Tortoise.

Hand built ceramic, built as a hollow piece roughly 45cm wide and 35cm high. After it was leather hard I opened the shell and removed slab supports. The shell was finished once the piece was nearly dry. It was then fired to 1080 and finished in acrylic paints and high gloss varnish.
