Arts Council England is the national development agency for the arts in England, distributing public money from Government and the National Lottery.

British Council

The British Council is Britains principal agency for cultural relations overseas. It provides access to British ideas, creative talents and expertise, and promotes the achievements of British artists abroad. It organises many exhibitions and helps artists through its Grants to Artists scheme. The main offices are situated in Belfast, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Spring Gardens - London, Portland Place - London and Manchester. The Information Centres in London and Manchester are happy to help with general enquiries.The Grants for Artists scheme is designed to help those working in visual art or craft (who are resident in UK) with the costs of exhibiting abroad. Isle of Man Arts Council

The IOM Arts Council is part of the Department of Tourism and Leisure of the IOM government. They support community arts by underwriting skill development workshops and performances, arts into the community by supporting and promoting performances by professional visiting artists, arts in education by a programme of workshops in schools including everything from dance to creative writing and finally by promoting international touring companies such as Rambert Dance Company. We also offer an information service to the Manx public and are currently progressing an arts programme for our new hospital, a public art commission from sculptor Brian Kneale and the conversion of a local secondary school hall into an adaptable studio theatre.
