Farfield Mill houses 15 open studio spaces, and currently has a varied list of resident artists including:
Laura Rosenzwieg – Weaver
Jan Hinks – Textile Artist
Annie Hudson – Fine Artist
Rebecca Callis – Ceramicist
Angela Bradley – Knitwear
Dilys McCaffrey – Textile Artist

On the heritage floor visitors can learn about the textile industry and the mill’s past and see the original Victorian Dobcross looms, which once produced horse blankets for Queen Victoria and now make travel rugs and throws for sale. A current initiative is the use of the wool of the local Rough Fell sheep to produce floor rugs. There is a small education programme, a shop and a Tea Room. www.farfieldmill.org. 015396 21958. themanager@farfieldmill.org
